Preventing Social Exclusion & Loneliness
Anita was referred to London Ability by her social worker as she was becoming isolated and withdrawn. Previously she was helping her elderly mother at home, with responsibility for cleaning, shopping and cooking. With our support, Anita is able to go out and get involved in a range of activities in the local community.
Anita needed London Ability’s supportive and nurturing environment where she could make friends, do activities of her choice, and staff would take and interest in her wellbeing and listen to her worries. We work with health professionals, flagging concerns where intervention and help may be needed.
Anita enjoys all the sessions at London Ability and is very creative, she particularly likes group activities in the community, computers, crafts and woodwork.
With life challenges ahead for Anita, London Ability will continue to offer meaningful activities for positive mental wellbeing, support and care.
